How To Increase Your Domain Authority
After finishing my last post on Finding Expired Domains, I though it would be good to touch on Domain authority and the importance it has in regards of ranking.
When finding Expired domains ‘Domain authority’ is one of the main factors that I look for, but the problem is, the higher the DA usually means you have to pay a higher price for the domain!
Once you get your hands on a high DA domain, the chances are the DA will drop a bit when you add new content, therefore I prefer to get a domain with lower DA and then increase it myself π
I’m also very keen on increasing the Domain authority of my money sites because if you didn’t know, DA represents the probability of ranking your site in the SERP’s.
So the higher your DA the better! If you follow my traffic and income reports you will see that I publish my own DA and PA every month as I look at ways of increasing it.
Domain authority is a metric by Moz and you can check any site at OpenSiteExplorer. It is calculated on a scale of 0-100, and the higher it is the higher your ranking potential.
Domain authority is very much dependent on the back links pointing to the site. Β Check out this post : 7 creative ways to build back links. The more high authority links, the higher your DA. So this is why I like to build the DA of my Tier 1 links.
If the sites linking to your money site increase their DA, then this will flow through to your money site π
So lets cut to the chase! Here is a cool info-graphic that I came across from TechTage

So there are a few great ideas too boost your domain authority!
If you are working on boosting your Tier 1 links then you can use software such as GSA search engine ranker to build links to your tier 1 sites.
So what is a good DA?
You are probably wondering what number you should be aiming for! the answer is, there is no magic number. It really depends on your niche and keywords that you are aiming for.
Take this example. I have just search for the keyword ‘Increase Domain authority’
Here are the results:
Apart from the 4th listing, they all have very strong DA and PA.
If you want to view these statistics in your Google search results, you can download the MOZ toolbar here
As you can see, this keyword has some strong competition from leading authority sites. It’s worth checking your competition like this when doing keyword research!
Hope this help π

increasing domain authority is actually not that difficult. the method in the infographic is complicated. many seo expert do not say what their truly ways to increase DA as they do not want everyone knows about the method. my method is just making some profile in High PR properties and make a backlink in the properties. this will increase DA just IN DAYS. yes, it’s instant method.
Some profile that i makes are from

in my case, just by making 10-20 profiles for brand new domain, will shoot my DA to at least 25-30.
I believe, there is no relationship between content and DA. DA is mainly influence by backlink. i have made a case study myself by posting 100 quality content without backlink, and no increase in DA. add some backlink, and the DA increaase.
